Some basic cv & bio stuff in summary:
I’ve been learning Meisner acting technique for the past 12 years at the Actors’ Playhouse in Melbourne (teachers Vicki Blanche and Simone Young) including 2 short intensive acting workshops (The Leap and The Mastery) and had roles in feature films, including EXIT (which has been featured at film festivals such as London Sci Fi, Arizona, Montreal-Fantasia festivals) and I Am Evangeline. Also I’ve recently done classes in japanese butoh (physical performance) here and in Tokyo. Before this, I’ve had training in bouffon, dance, improvisation and camera technique and acted in short films and Australian TV series (Phoenix and Chances – yes, that was years ago…) as well as theatre (2 Harold Pinter plays and Melb Uni student revues).
Scenework (directed by Simone Young) as part of the Meisner acting classes has included Macbeth, Taming of the Shrew, Ed Wood, Capote, Eyes Wide Shut, Silence of the Lambs, Magnolia, Dead Man Walking, Angels in America, My Own Private Idaho, Good Will Hunting, Manhattan, Chinatown, Home Front, Short Cuts, Broadcast News, Brilliant Lies, and Chasing Amy.
Additionally, for what it’s worth, I write (won best drama writing for Monster Porn in Short & Sweet Melbourne 2006), draw, fence, tango, am fairly built (gymwise), was born here in Melbourne, lived in Paris for a while, speak rough French, basic German, fluent Latin, was an architect, get money now working as graphic designer, and I’m a full equity member.
